ANGA Cable, the Trade Fair for cable, broadband and satellite, says it has broken last year’s booking record. 373 exhibitors from 33 countries will showcase in 2009, compared to 369 in the previous year.
Peter Charissé, ANGA’s MD, said in a statement : “We are very proud that we could increase the number of exhibitors once more. The exhibition hall in Cologne will be fully booked again. Top-class speakers from cable operators, content providers, DSL providers and manufacturers are equally presented in the congress programme. With a focus on the analogue switch off, competition effects of wireless broadband offers, the convergence of cable and DSL operators, IPTV and CI Plus our programme is more fascinating and up-to-date than ever.”
The highlight of the English language congress programme will be the international Broadband Summit on the second day of the event. Under the headline „Cable versus Wireless: Next Generation Competitors?“ CEOs and CTOs from five countries will discuss the effects of new wireless networks (such as LTE and Wimax) on the broadband competition in Europe: Svein Erik Davidsen (Canal Digital Norway), Nick Fielibert (Cisco), Thomas Hintze (UPC Austria), David Keeley (Motorola), Martin Kull (Com Hem Sweden), Philippe Le May (Numericable France), Parm Sandhu (Unitymedia Germany) and Wim Sweldens (Alcatel-Lucent). The Summit will be presented by Julian Clover (Broadband TV News).
This year’s ANGA Cable will take place from 26 to 28 May in Cologne (Germany).
