Holland’s largest cable operator Ziggo will add NBC Universal’s Sci-Fi and 13th Street to its line-up of digital channels on May 1.
With the new distribution agreement, Sci-Fi and 13th Street will add over 1.1 million digital homes in The Netherlands. The channel is already available on the UPC network.
A name change for the channel was announced recently. Starting in the US on July 7, it will be known as SyFy. (see Broadband TV News passim)
In May, Ziggo will also add the Dutch music and youth channel Slam!TV.
