The Algerian transmitter company TDA is set to launch the country’s first digital terrestrial television broadcasts in July. At first, three transmitters will come on the air in the three northern regions (East, West and centre).
Telediffusion d’Algerie (TDA) hopes to cover 70% of the population by the end of this year. The initial offer will consist of the TV channels La Chaîne 1, Canal Algérie and A3), as well as radio stations CH I, CH II, CH III and RAI-Radio Algérie Internationale.
The bouquet will also be available on the Eutelsat Atlantic Bird 3 for reception across the territory for people outside the reach of terrestrial transmitters.
