Over half of Czech TV homes now receive digital TV services.
According to data produced by STEM/MARK for Mediaresearch and published by HN, a total of 51.9% received DVB-T, DVB-S, DVB-C, TV over the internet or IPTV as of this January, as opposed to 28.6% only 12 months earlier.
DVB-T has enjoyed the most significant growth in take-up in recent months, with the percentage of homes growing from 22% to 27.1% between November and January.
This trend is likely to continue as the Czech Republic starts to switch off its analogue terrestrial signals, region by region.
