Poland’s first metropolitan TV channel TVN Warszawa has got off to a slow start.
Data produced by TBNS OBOP for Wirtualne Media shows that it claimed an audience share of 0.02% between December 15 last year and March 14.
In reality, though this amounted to only 1,100, with only half being in Warsaw and the remainder watching the service through such digital platforms as n, Cyfra+ and the IPV service videostrada.
Within Warsaw itself, its audience share of 0,19% TVP Warszawa, a service offered by the public broadcaster within its TVP Info channel, meanwhile claimed a 0.69% share, equivalent to 36,600 viewers, in Warsaw.
Should TVN Warszawa prove to be a success, TVN might launch more metropolitan services in other parts of the country.
