digitaleuropeThe EICTA (European Information, Communications and Consumer Electronics Industry Technology Association) has rebranded itself as DIGITALEUROPE.

The Brussels-based association represents the interests of the European consumer electronics sector and is behind the HD Ready family of logos found on many new television displays.

At the same time, DIGITALEUROPE has announced the appointment of Bridget Cosgrave as its new director-general. She replaces Mark MacGann, who is moving to be CEO of Weber Shandwick in Brussels after five years at EICTA. Cosgrave has a background in ICT, financial services and industrial sectors.
