Shipments of SeaChange International’s VOD flash server product helped produce Q4 revenues of $54 million for the company that straddles both hardware and software solutions for the on demand market.
Its fiscal fourth quarter for the period ending January 31, 2009 was 13% higher than the equivalent period 12 months previous. Total revenues for the year were $201.8 million, $21.9m or 12% higher than for the 2008 fiscal year.
SeaChange has announced plans to repurchase up to $20 million of its common stock in a buyback programme replacing one that lapsed at the end of December.
The company said it remained cautiously optimistic and expected to be profitable for the first six months of fiscal 2010.
