ER-Telecom says it has become the leading cable operator in Nizny Novgorod, Russia’s fourth largest city, in less than a year.
It began constructing a fibre optic network at the end of 2007 and launched commercial services in March 2008.
These now cover 137,000 households, offering cable TV and broadband internet access to 25,000 subscribers.
ER-Telecom, which is one of the top five leading cable operators in Russia, became a triple play provider in Nizny Novgorod last month when it added telephony to its offer.
