The Dutch telecom regulator OPTA has today published its Open Cable rulings, which will come into force on March 17. Cablers Ziggo and UPC will have to allow reselling of their analogue TV bouquets by third parties.
In addition, Ziggo, UPC, Delta and CAI will also have to allow access to third parties that wish to offer digital bouquets. For the moment, OPTA has ordered that 8 MHz of capacity is to be set aside for this purpose.
Third party companies YouCa and Tele2 have already expressed an interest in providing such services via the cable companies.
