The Polish national commercial broadcaster Polsat will shortly increase the size of its thematic channel portfolio.
According to Wirtualne Media, the country’s National Broadcasting Council (KRRiT) has awarded it licences to operate a children’s and movie channel, given the working names Polsat dla Dzieci and Polsat Film respectively.
The regulator is also considering a further application for a channel aimed at young people. Polsat already operates six thematic proprietary channels, one of which is in HD.
