Poland’s Canal + Cyfrowy, the operator of the DTH platform Cyfra+, has posted revenues of PLN1.034 billion (€212.54 million) for 2008, as opposed to PLN926 million for the previous year.
Its EBIT, on the other hand, fell from PLN178 million to PLN171 million over the same period.
Commenting on the results, the group’s president Betrand Le Guern said that it had noted a 40% increase in subscribers in 2008, ending the year with 1,380,000.
It had also launched its 10th proprietary channel (Domo), introduced a total of 19 new channels and an on demand service named Cyfra+ VOD.
