The Belgian cable operator Numericable has said its Triple Play Pack campaign started last September is a big success with customers. The company now claims a 5% market share after just five months of marketing the service.
Numericable, the former Coditel, offers a package consisting of digital television including HD, telephony and broadband internet access for a monthly €39.90 fee. The operator has also said its digital television service now reaches 75% of all homes connected to the basic analogue tier. Numericable offers about 80 digital TV channels and a library of 5,000 VOD titles.
“What is our recipe? We work hard to bring new technologies such as digital television, broadband and HD television to everyone without increasing the bill of our customers,” said Pascal Dormal CEO of Numericable. “We were the first company with no supplement charged for HD television, just as we offer 10 Mbps internet access at the same price as 3 Mbps. Our customers have the assurance that they can enjoy the best technology without paying a fortune.”
