Estonia’s Elion ended 2008 with 82,500 IPTV and cable TV subscribers, as opposed to 57,700 a year earlier.
At the same time, its triple play subscriber total stood at 76,100, compared to 53,500 as of December 31, 2007. Elion, which is a division of the incumbent telco Eesti Telekom, estimates that it had a 26% share of the Estonian cable market at the end of 2008, up from 19% a year earlier.
However, Starman and STV still remain the leading players in Estonia’s cable industry.
