Digitenne, the Dutch digital terrestrial network from KPN, will add Cartoon Network to its line-up of channels. It will be available in channel-share from 6 am till 6pm.
Cartoon Network will take the place of the nostlagic television network NostalgieNet. Originally, KPN was a 50% shareholder in the broadcaster, but sold its stake late last year. The channel will be part of the basic tier that retails at €7.50 a month.
The Time-Warner cartoon channel will share capacity with the local Amsterdam broadcaster AT5, which is available in the evenings, and with one of the two Eredivisie Live premium channels, which only broadcasts during live football matches.
NostalgieNet is carried on a number of cable and IPTV platforms and has also just signed a distribution agreement with Canal Digitaal Satelliet. The channel is available in time-share with the Dutch public Humor TV comedy channel on both the Dutch and Belgian DTH platforms.
