The Dutch DTH provider Canal Digitaal Satellite will start a MediaGuard card-swap this month. During the next few months all current MediaGuard2 cards will be exchanged for a MediaGuard 3 card.
The operator will start the operation with the ‘family bouquet’ subscribers, to be followed by those with a ‘recreation’ and ‘top tier’ subscription. People who now sign on to the DTH service will immediately receive a new version smart card.
