The switch-off of all analogue terrestrial broadcasts in the US will most likely take place on February 17 as planned, with the House of Representatives having failed to pass a bill that would have delayed it to June 12.
The vote was 258 to 168 in favour of the delay, but under House expedited vote rules the bill needed a two-third majority to pass. The vote came after the Senate unanimously passed a compromise bill in support of the delay on Monday which would have moved the ASO forward to June 12.
