SBS Belgium has announced the appointment of Thierry Tacheny as its new CEO. The broadcaster operates two channels – VT4 and VijfTV – in the Dutch speaking part of the country.
Tacheny succeeds Ricus Jansegers, who left to work for the SBS parent ProSieben Sat.1 on a number of projects in Romania and Finland. Stefan De Keyser, who was interim CEO at the company, remains as SBS Belgium’s COO.
Tacheny started his career in the 1980s as a marketing director at IP, the advertising sales division of RTL. In the mid-1990s, he started the company Peak Time, specialised in real-time audience measurements. He also established the i-TV Show company, active in call TV programming.
