The Spanish technology companies SIDSA and Secuenzia have entered into an alliance aimed at launching paid DTT in the country, perhaps as soon as this year.
The two have already jointly developed a conditional access technology solution that allows for the distribution of DTT content and gives broadcasters the opportunity to secure extra revenues different to advertising thanks to pay per subscription or per events systems.
Although SIDSA and Secuenzia are based in Madrid, both have a strong international presence, in the former case thanks to investment it secured from Inova Capital and Baring Group.
