The Dutch digital live football channel Eredivisie Live has now passed 300,000 subscribers. The broadcaster is on track, the company announced.
Eredivisie Live launched four months ago, at the start of the competition, with 200,000 subscribers. Reaching the winter break, 300,000 households have now subscribed. Eredivisie Live director Alex Tiel Beke expects to sign up more subscribers during the next few months.
Eredivisie Live was started by the clubs themselves as they were not satisfied with the financial conditions offered by commercial broadcasters. They then teamed up with Endemol to launch their own channel.
