Poland’s four mobile operators have officially joined forces in order to bid for a DVB-licence.
According to Wirtualne Media, PTC, P4, Polkomtel and PTK Centertel will have an equal number of shares (30) in a new venture in which they each hold a 25% stake.
The move follows a ruling last week by Poland’s Office of Competition and Consumer Protection (UOKiK) that said it would not be anti-competitive.
Following a number of delays, the Office of Electronic Communications (UKE) is shortly expected to hold a contest for a DVB-H licence.
