Livestation has developed a version of its over-the-top TV service capable of running on the Apple iPhone.
Matteo Berlucchi, CEO, Livestation said the new format had been developed to run when a Wi-Fi connection was available. There are no plans to allow it to run on a 3G connection because of the amount of bandwidth that would be required. “It is capable of running on 3G, but it is unlikely to be available with that type of connectivity,” explained Berlucchi. The software would also work on the Apple iTouch.
The product is still in development, and although Livestation is in conversation with Apple, there is no firm date for its release.
