The French regulator CSA has published a list of 77 new digital terrestrial transmitters to be switched on from yesterday (November 30) to December 19.
The 77 new locations come on top of the 55 transmitters already put into use earlier this year. Once they are up and running, digital terrestrial television services will be available to nearly 53 million inhabitants, or 87% of the metropolitan population, according to the CSA.
A complete overview of all 77 new transmitters can be found here. Before the summer of 2009, a further 71 new transmitters will take to the air. A complete list of these can be found here.
