ProSiebenSat.1 Welt has signed its first IPTV distribution deal in the US with Verizon’s FiOS TV service. Until now, the channel was only available as part of an international package on the Echostar DISH DTH network.
The channel has been available in Canada on some cable systems, but this agreement marks the first wired distribution deal in the US. At the same time, FIOS also signed an agreement to carry Deutsche Welle.
ProSiebenSat.1 Welt is a German-language TV channel available in the US and Canada. It shows programming highlights from Sat.1, ProSieben, kabel eins and N24.
