The effects of the global economic downturn have become particularly noticeable in the Russian ad market – hitherto one of the fastest growing in Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) – since mid October.
However, according to Rambler Media, quoted in Kommersant, the internet sector is likely to get off relatively lightly, with spend this year alone set to rise by 50% to $400 million (€315 million).
Rambler Media is an internet business- based company owned by Prof-Media, whose other interests include MTV Russia.
