Operational results of the German ProSiebenSat.1 Media AG group fell 17% in Q3 as a result of the continuing weak results of the German operations, the broadcaster has announced. The adjusted EBITDA decreased to €103.1 million from €124.8 million a year ago.
Underlying net profit, excluding one-time items, fell to €0.6 million from €68.4 million a year earlier. The turnover decreased by 3.3% to €646.5 million, in particular by the continuing poor results in the German free-TV advertising market. ProSieben said it sees no improvement in the advertising market for the remaining quarter of the year.
Board President Guillaume de Posch that ProSieben said that it will be difficult to predict what the impact of the financial crisis in the international markets will be.
