Higher revenues from TV and digital services pushed up revenues from Denmark’s YouSee in the third quarter. The TDC-owned cablenet was able to both increase its subscriber base and increase ARPU.
YouSee has been offering subscribers a wider range of channels and has been able to increase its prices. Higher broadband ARPU also contributed. Revenues rose by DKK298 million (€40.04m) to DKK2,407m. EBITDA increased by 15% year-on-year to DKK697.
YouSee ended the quarter with 1,134,000 subscribers, from 1,124,000 as of June 2008 and 1,098,000 at the end of Q3 2007.
The cablenet is Denmark’s largest provider of TV services in the country, serving 44% of households.
