News, sport and entertainment will be on display in 224 McDonald’s restaurants following a deal with TV4 Nyhetskanalen. The effort is a collaboration between TV4 and production and media company Visual Art. The company already operates a number of public displays across Sweden.
Nyhetskanalen, which earlier this year became the first Swedish news channel available on the internet, is also on display at 17 airports around the country.
“New conditions in the television market allows us to use this co-operation with McDonald’s and Sweden’s airports as an opportunity to reach an even broader audience, “said Goran Ellung, program director, news, TV4 Group.
The text-based service draws content from Nyhetskanalen.se and weather site tv4vadret.se presented in text and image form interspersed with information and entertainment.
