ADB Group says continued strong operator demand and a favourable product mix has produced a full order book for the Geneva-based set-top supplier.
In a mid-period business update the company said it was able to confidently reiterate its improved guidance for the year, originally given in August. The supply chain had been performing effectively, and according to plan, driven by satellite, cable and IPTV segments. HDTV product now represented two thirds and PVR sales one third of revenues in the digital TV equipment segment.
A new brand of DTT set-top boxes has been developed for the Italian market. I-Can will feature both Nagra and Irdeto conditional access for use with the Mediaset and former Telecom Italia Media pay packages. The latter recently announced it was selling its pay platform to the Scandinavian Airplus group.
In Norway DTT operator RiksTV has licensed the Osmosys push video-on-demand solution that will be available through new ADB boxes being distributed in the region by Grundig.
