123WebTV, the new search engine for all the video and TV programmes available on the web, says it has reached its first milestone: over 100,000 unique UK visitors in September 2008.
www.123WebTV.com allows users access to a wide range of TV programmes and channels that are available only via the web, including from the BBC, ITV and Channel 4, with the ability to browse by genre, themes and channels and search for specific content. The site is free as is much of the content, whilst other content is available by subscription or pay per download.
The video portal aims to achieve over 250,000 unique monthly UK visitors within a six month period and establish itself as the number one UK search service for online TV content. New features are planned including improved search functionality, Facebook applications and online widgets.
123WebTV was launched in September 2008 and founded by Ian West, a former MD at Sky, and Lesley Mackenzie, former CEO for Kangaroo and BSkyB’s former director of channels and operations.
