Poland’s Office of Electronic Communications (UKE) has fined the incumbent telco TPSA PLN5 million (€1.3 million) for failing to provide accurate information on leased lines.
The regulator required the information by June 3 this year in order to assess the competitiveness of the marketplace. According to the UKE, it is empowered to fine companies in such cases up to 3% of their revenues.
TPSA is the leading IPTV operator in Poland, with most alternative carriers having yet to launch services.
