The number of subscribers to TeliaSonera’s IPTV service in Sweden remained unchanged in the third quarter after growth that had seen a year-on-year increase of 100,000 homes.
The Swedish operations characterised by the company’s set-top giveaway accounted for 450,000 of TeliaSonera’s 839,000 TV subscribers, which also includes Denmark, Norway and Latvia.
EBITDA decreased to SEK3,415 million from SEK3,570 million as the company refocuses its business towards international carrier and IP based activities including TV. The traditional fixed line business continues to suffer from price erosion.
