Digital+ increased its EBITDA margins by 10.4% to €275.33 million, in the first nine months of 2008. The Spanish DTH platform also upped its margins by 1.6% to 24% on 2007 while subscriber revenues increased by 1.4% to €859.08 million.
As at September 30, 2008, Digital+ had a total subscriber count of 2,061,000, a small increase on the 2,046,000 of 12 months previous, average revenue holding steady at €41.7 per subscriber.
Despite the upturn in the pay-TV division’s fortunes, Prisa is widely expect to offload Digital+ within the next few months, with Telefonica, Vivendi and BSkyB all in the frame.
