Brightcove has confirmed the general availability of its Brightcove 3 online video platform. The system provides a series of new media management and publishing tools to deliver customised Flash-based video players.
“Online video is becoming pervasive across the web and we’re seeing a lot of growth in Europe,” Adam Berrey, Brightcove’s VP of marketing and strategy told Broadband TV News. He said the United States was seeing growth from business to business, non-profit making organisations and education.
Brightcove 3 is already in place with a number of content providers including Scottish TV, Showtime and the US cable network Comcast.
