PIKE, ZAKOPANE. Zygmunt Solorz-Zak, the owner of the Polish national commercial broadcaster Polsat, has denied that his company is holding back the introduction of DTT services in the country.
Although Polsat has entered into a partnership with the rival commercial broadcaster TVN to launch a DTT operation, Solorz-Zak remains critical about the lack of vision as to how the future digital market will look in Poland.
Like other speakers on a panel entitled Digital transmission platforms: DVB-T, DVB-C, DVB-S, DVB-H, IPTV – convergence or competition – he supported the need for an information campaign on digitalisation in Poland.
