The German gay TV channel Timm TV will launch on November 1 as a FTA service on the Astra satellite, as well as part of digital bouquets on cable. The channel is owned and operated by the DFW Deutsche Fernsehwerke GmbH in Berlin, which claims Timm is “not just a TV station, but a multimedia offer with TV, a radio stream, print and online.”
Timm TV will be on air from 18.00 till 24.00, with extended broadcasting times during the weekend. It has not issued any details about which cable operators are taking the new service.
