The Czech Radio and TV Council (RRTV) has granted Chello Central Europe a satellite licence for a new sports channel named Sport2.
Valid for 12 years, it applies to both the Czech Republic and Slovakia. Local reports say that football will account for up to 60% of Sport2’s programming.
They add that following its launch, Czech viewers will be able to watch up to 10, mostly subscription-based sports channels.
