The Czech film channel Nova Cinema will start to be distributed via DTT within the next six months.
In doing so, it will be utilising a ‘compensatory’ licence awarded to CET 21, TV Nova’s licence holder, by the Czech Radio and TV Council (RRTV) this August.
According to data produced by ATO-Mediaresearch, Nova Cinema was watched by 15.36% of all Czech viewers aged 4+ in Q2 this year.
Its audience is expected to significantly increase once it becomes available in DTT homes. TV Nova, which is owned by CME, currently operates two thematic channels, namely Nova Cinema and Galaxie Sport, which will shortly be renamed Nova Sport.
