The Czech music channel Ocko plans to apply for a ‘compensatory’ digital TV licence at the beginning of next year.
Quoted in Parabola, its head Jiri Balvin said that by law the channel is entitled to such a licence and now wants to “send a signal to the Czech media” that “ready technically and financially to meet the requirements.”
Ocko is already one of the most watched channels in the Czech Republic after the ‘big three’ (TV Nova, Prima TV and CT), reaching over 1.5 million viewers via cable, DTH, IPTV and DTT.
