The mobile operator Hutchison 3G Austria has increased its streaming TV offer to laptop users to a total of 28 channels. The service is already being used by the 33,000 owners of its mobile data card, the company said.
3 Austria has a portfolio of mobile TV channels, which now consists of UMTS streaming on its own network (40 Mobile TV and radio stations), DVB-H (15 TV channels and 5 radio stations) and now 28 streaming TV channels on the laptop including BBC World News and Al Jazeera English, as well as the public broadcaster ORF and commercial channels ATV and Puls4.
The channels can be accessed via a dedicated EPG and viewed either on a small or full screen.
