The Spanish cable operator ONO is to launch an ultra-fast internet service on October 15.
Initially available to 700,000 households in 10 communities in Madrid, it will offer download speeds of 50Mbps and 100Mps, with upload speeds of 3Mbps and 5Mbps.
ONO plans to sell a 50Mbps package with telephony for €60 a month plus VAT, and a 100Mbps one for €80 a month. Adding TV to the packages will raise their monthly cost of €75 and €95 a month respectively.
ONO, which is using Docsis 3.0 technology to offer its ultra-fast broadband service, says it has already invested over €8 billion on its cable infrastructure.
