The Slovenian incumbent telco Telekom Slovenije is being investigated by the country’s Competition Protection Office (CPO) for alleged abuse of its dominant market position in the country’s broadband internet market.
The move follows complaints by the alternative carrier Amis and the assessment of data gathered by the CPO itself.
Telekom Slovenije had a total of 270,883 broadband connections in Slovenia as of June 30 this year, of which 184,636 were end users and 86,247 wholesale.
It is also had 80,000 subscribers to its IPTV service SiOL TV.
