IBC 2008 – AMSTERDAM. UK-based technology consultancy Farncombe Technology has joined forces with the French EPG specialist WeAreAka.
Farncombe is acquiring a shareholding in WeAreAka, which will retain its existing branding, though move into Farncombe’s Paris office.
“We believe the user’s interaction with any product should be approached as an integral element of the user’s daily relationship to the brand,” said Ferline Tiard, WeAreAka’s Manager and co-founder. “Farncombe’s extensive client base, which stretches across the entire video delivery sector, including IP and mobile, can help us deliver that vision to multiple devices and multiple screens.”
WeAreAka is behind the look and feel of a number of digital TV operator EPGs. Its expertise extends to the related hardware design including remote controls.
