Freesat will next Tuesday add four new TV channels to the BBC-ITV free-to-air platform.
Gaelic channel BBC Alba, Asian channel Zee Music, shopping channel Best Direct and advertorial Audi Channel will all put in an appearance from September 16.
Separately, World Radio Network has helped launch Absolute Radio, the rebranded Virgin Radio onto the Freesat platform WRN has also launched sister stations Absolute Classic Rock and Absolute Xtreme.
At the same time Planet Rock, already available on Sky and DAB, will start headendbanging.
