IBC 2008 – AMSTERDAM. The IBC 2008 exhibition opened today at 12 noon sharp. As eagerly awaited crowds made their way into the fully packed halls, they were greeted by eager exhibitors ready to get the show on the road. This year IBC provides 1,400 exhibitors the opportunity to showcase their capabilities and network with key players from all over the world.
As the doors opened, IBC COO, Mike Crimp said in a prepared statement: “IBC2008 offers compelling value for visitors. If you are a serious player in content creation management and delivery, then Amsterdam is the place to be this week. Where else can you see all the world’s technology solutions under one roof? As well as an excellent themed conference programme, there are plenty of free sessions than ever before, covering technologies including IPTV Mobile and Digital Signage. We also have some great HD and 3D content in the Big Screen theatre and two world firsts with the transmission to IBC of Super Hi-Vision plus a transatlantic 3D HD interview with DreamWorks’s Jeffrey Katzenberg.”
