Dutch cablenet Ziggo is to extend its VOD service into the wider network before the end of the year. The service received its commercial launch on the former Casema network in the second quarter of 2008.
This week, Motorola confirmed that its B1 Video Server and Stream Commander management software was being used on network, allowing customers touch-button access to content including movies, children’s programmes, documentaries and music clips
To date Motorola’s on demand solution has been selected by operators that pass more than eight million homes. The capabilities of the B-1 server allow for catch-up TV, network PVR and ad insertion.
