The Spanish incumbent telecom operator Telefonica plans to introduce a commercial triple play offer on fibre in a selected number of cities later this autumn. A broadband package called Trio Futura will be sold at prices set around €100 a month.
The top tier Trio Futura package includes 30 Mbps connection speed, a PVR and unlimited phone calls to the Spanish fixed line network, according to local newspaper reports.
At the moment, Telefonica runs a pilot of the service to 1,000 homes. The operator plans to roll out the offer in Madrid, Barcelona, Sevilla, Valencia, Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Las Palmas, Bilbao, San Sebastian, Vitoria, Valladolid, Malaga, Tenerife and Zaragoza.
