Personalised advertising has emerged as one of the trends of this year’s IBC. At least a trend that many hope will emerge judging by the number of companies basing presentations around it.
The European publishing house Axel Springer has announced the integration of its My Personal Ad delivery platform with the back office solution of the Dutch VOD specialist EventIS.
The purpose is to give advertisers the opportunity to address VOD users with targeted, so-called real-time, advertisements. It gives operators the opportunity to generate new advertisements while giving subscribers relevant commercial messages in the pre-roll to their VOD sessions.
EventIS has also partnered with Hamburg-based interactive TV technologies developer Sofatronic to create a dedicated VOD solution for the Blu-ray market. It is also possible to run the Blu-ray content over set-top boxes and mobile devices.
