French centric news channel France 24 is to join the UK free-to-air satellite platform Freesat. The channel will sit alongside BBC News, BBC Parliament, S4C2, Al-Jazeera English and Euronews. International broadcaster World Radio Network is also joining the line up.
Freesat has been slow to add the 30 channels per month promised at launch and the no subscription platform’s near 100 channels remain well behind the rival freesatfromsky’s 200 channel mark.
