The number of Dutch digital homes is fast approaching 4 million. At the end of June, some 3.63 million homes were digital, representing a 47.2% penetration out of a total of 7.68 million TV homes.
At the moment, Ziggo is by far the biggest provider of digital TV with 995,000 digital homes at the end of June. The operator said it surpassed the 1 million mark in July.
The DTH provide Canal Digitaal is the runner-up with 759,000 subscribers, followed by KPN with 636,000 to its IPTV and DTT services combined (the company does not publish separate figures for its two services). UPC is in fourth place with 592,300 homes.
