Teleste has secured a new order with the Belgian cable operator Telenet for the delivery of optical transmission equipment. The order, worth several million Euros, continues the Finnish manufacturers role as one of Telenet’s key suppliers.
Telenet will be delivering equipment that will take fibre deeper into the network, increasing both upstream and downstream capacity, and boosting capacity for broadband internet, digital TV and video-on-demand.
The deliveries comprise a range of HDO modules and AC nodes. The project will take up to five years to complete with the first delivery scheduled for Q3 2008.
